‘América Latina: Riqueza Privada, Pobreza Pública – PART 3
Through this video, CIDSE voices concerns of its partners that the current model of extraction of natural resources in Latin America brings loss of livelihood, violent conflict, persistent human rights violations and environmental degradation for those living in areas rich in natural resources.
The video shows from a Southern perspective, the impacts of extractive industries on poverty among local communities in 6 Latin American countries and strategies used by Cidse partners to counter its effects. The video also highlights CIDSE member organisations advocacy experiences and how our partners are dealing with the progression of the extractive industry on the continent.
