  • Will the International Court ever handle cases in relation to global warming?

Posted by admin on October 23rd, 2009 and filed under livelihoods | 7 Comments »

Complex because we all are responsible for some emissions. But will peoples subject to death, injury or loss of livelihood ever have recourse for compensation from major polluters? Will those who pollute excessively knowingly or recklessly face punishment?
Why a single polluter Baccheus? If ten people attack a person they are all liable.
Ah Bad Moon Rising, personal attendance at the court perhaps not required for hundreds of millions of people but perhaps aggravated offenders singled out?

yes, but not in the near future.
at some point, nations will suffer, and other nations will be responsible.
however, the world is nowhere near accepting that responsibility.

I don’t think that could happen as it would be a case of a good portion of humanity trying to sue a few large corporations I don’t think there would be much point.
What I can see happening is groups like Heartland being sued for spreading false information that has already been raised as a serious possibility, this is why oil companies are publicly distancing themselves from some of these groups. It is also perhaps why most denier experts are retired or well past retirement, they think they won’t be around when the horse excrement hits the rotating air circulator, it about 10 years

There is no way. A victim would have to show that they suffered specific damages from a single specific polluter.

No. You can’t differentiate between global warming events and normal weather events.

What exactly did you think that all of the activism regarding AGW has as its end result? What do you think "carbon credits" and "cap and trade" are about?
It is the collective international sentence being meted out, on those that have been found guilty in the international court of opinion …that is the West and their prosperous economy!

The actual International Court hearings will happen just after they try George Bush and Dick Cheney for crimes against humanity. The courtroom will be packed, 300 million Americans, 35 million Canadians, 200 million Europeans…all guilty…where will they find all the seats and prison space? The Hague would have to worry more about ground subsidence related flooding as opposed to mean sea level rise!
EDIT: Glad to hear that Al Gore will have to attend as "an aggravated offender". I’m sure they will have parking for his jet!

The one we need to prosecute is the person who devised the entire global warming scam and his key high profit associates in the scam. But he and his criminal partners are so deeply integrated into the structure of the Democratic party and similar international organizations. The links below are to key people and organizations that created the entire AGW scam for profit and to gain control of the worlds governments to prevent the move into space that would have allowed the civilization to survive the coming ice age.

Yes. Al Gore and the IPCC committee should be prosecuted when the scam is fully exposed
