  • Why we work?

Posted by admin on February 11th, 2010 and filed under livelihood definition | 7 Comments »

What is your definition of a job? Does it have to be sitting in an office pushing paper? Or do some people believe that it can be a livelihood that a person actually enjoys or gets some gratification from other than monetary? Is there a flaw in our society that says people should work their whole young life only to retire when you are too old to enjoy your retirement? There has to be a better way than this. Does anybody have any ideas for alternative jobs out there? Or a reason for office jobs?

find out what you like to do and do just that. The majority of the people in office jobs are just trying to survive but have never really found what they love to do.

Office jobs suck!!! Right now its paying the bills as I mill about in my monkey suit and sneak peaks at the internet.

Wish I never got married and gave up my career. Hard to get back on track. Need to though, I’m bloody dying!!!!

We have living expenses to pay. I don’t want to live past sixty if I don’t have to. What’s the point of wrinkling, sagging, and decaying and longing for your younger days?

The beauty of America the right to choose and the freedom do choose. Go to school , entrepreneurship, own a book store or restaurant, pet stop, or gas station, the choice is all yours. Whatever your passion, find it and go for it. Office jobs can be boring so become a waiter or waitress. Read think and grow rich change your way of thinking and your bound to find a more positive concept.

office jobs a good gig in my nieghborhood. you rather mow lawns or lay tile. break your back and your knees. Right now I’m workin on treasure hunting, writing a book ummm ummm i need more than that.

Everybodies trying to figure it out, they got lots of plans, motivational books, entrepenurial ideas and opportunities. Always think a lot of those books and tapes are a scam. In a way they are, they’re selling you an overpriced idea. I’ll tell you now you can fix up a house and sell it. You can go to police auctions and bid on cars. You don’t need to buy 9 tapes, just do your homework, the web has info out there, some still hide info. Regardless, you have to make it work. The world is yours, it’s right there. Take charge and do whatever you want or whatever you can.

A lot of people are asleep, don’t know what to do, me included. Waiting for death or a raise. That’s why many make money, selling those tapes, selling opportunities. But again it’s (the tapes) ‘mostly’ bunk, idk.

A cool job is ski instructer, take people parasailing on the beach, international tourguide. Whatever your interests are. You got to find that stuff though. Possibly train and achieve other accomplishments first. Could take years easily, hard work and tears like the song said.

I would not reccomend not working unless you’re independently wealthy. But as for retirement. I haven’t worked in a year. It kinda sucks but I don’t have any more or less money than my friends. We’re all in debt to our eyeballs. As long as you keep your pride and self respect, keep clean. My plan is to work 2 jobs through winter and hit the road when it’s warmer.

Too many people are asleep and dependent, that’s why we have to do something different. There’s no box, There are some people who would tell you what to do, codes, liscences etc and there are consequences to your actions, you can screw up, easy. But there’s a big wide world out there, lots of stuff to get into.
