  • Conservatives claim Libs are to lazy to work. Is it time Conservatives wake up to the Depression?

Posted by admin on July 30th, 2009 and filed under economic livelihood | 13 Comments »

    From The Fed. Dec. 15, 08 …
"Industrial production decreased 0.6% in November with declines widespread across industries."

At 106.1% of it’s 2002 average, total production in November was 5.5% BELOW it’s level of a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate for TOTAL industry FELL to 75.4%, a level of 5.6 percentage points BELOW it’s average level from 1972 to 2007 !!!

Conservatives, Please take note: THERE ARE NO JOBS being created and those JOBS that do exist are becoming extinct!

As this phenomenon, which is being called an "economic crisis" continues, even you CONSERVATIVES are in danger of losing YOUR OWN financial livelihood.

Some of you Conservatives can talk your talk about Libs being to lazy to work, but that’s NOT the case. Truth is, we are ALL headed down.

If anything Mr & Mrs. Conservative, your cronies in Washington and across Corporate America dropped the ball and No One is there to intercept it. Thank you very much.

I think you are missing the point. It’s not about Libs being lazy. It’s about their policies which promote and encourage an entitlement mentality. Conservatives think you should at least try to work before the welfare handout is made.

Wow you are all over the place dude.

So – what’s the point of the question? To get conservatives to conceed that the Democrat-controlled congress help us into a recession?

Sure I’ll agree to that. I’ve got news for you though – theres "cronies" on both sides of the aisle.

A little FYI – you shouldn’t expect very many polite answers to your question.

"Your tone is all wrong. Do it again – and I’ll stab you in the face with a saudering iron." – From Joe Dirt (also a conservative)

I find it interesting that you completely ignore how it has been Democrat style progressive policies that have led us here, particularly their work in the 90s. Interestingly enough, the same sort of policies back during the Great Depression caused it to last years longer. The rest of the world recovered while we were still in the middle of it thanks to such policies.

And yet here we are again, with Obama poised to prove yet again that those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

It is hard to create jobs with money going to Iraq and all of the welfare programs in this country. The kids of this country have no work ethic. They all know that the government will pay them to survive. Libs like to keep them down and dependent. I am a teacher, I see the machine from the inside.

Well, you see, Mr. Liberal, us conservatives are not all that worried about money sense we were smart and didn’t take out loans that we couldn’t afford. There are some jobs being created, though the economy is loosing many. Many of the liberals that I know are too lazy to work, and yes, I do know that we are all heading down the hole. And just so you know, there are more liberals in DC than there should be, so don’t complain.

I am not here to say that conservative run states are generally faring better than liberal ones, but here’s something for you to ponder.

By the way, I only think lazy people are lazy.
Please refrain from using "Depression" until you have spoken to a depression era survivor. The USA spent only 2% less this year on Christmas purchases. My grand-parents can assure you that they didn’t have money to spend ANY amount on Christmas presents in the 30′s.

You liberals are either woefully uninformed or ignorant.

This is not yet a depression. During the depression we had something like 30% unemployment and double digit interest rates. What we are experiencing now is a recession. Sorry not a depression. However Obama’s stated policies were tried during the depression and failed and even prolonged the depression.

Sorry but the mortgage crisis and the current economic crisis is totally a Democrat scandal. This all started back with Carter and was made worse by Clinton and protected by Democrats for years because they were benefiting from it.

Believe me if there was a Republican involved this would already have been hung around his neck and the Democrats and mainstream media would be clamoring for his head. The fact that there has been little to no reporting or investigation into this is a good indication that it is the Democrats fault.

Oh by the way Jamie Garelick who made $24 million from all of this will once again be roaming the halls of the whitehouse as part of Obama’s administration.

If you are turely worried about job creation than you should be pressuring Obama and the Democrats to make the Bush tax cuts permanent. You should also be pressuring Obama and the Democrats to stop talking about tax increases. Some of what we are seeing in the economy are businesses preparing for a high spending, high taxing Democrat controlled Congress and presidency.

The other thing you should be doing is pressuring the Democrats to lower the corporate tax rate because we have the second highest in the world. Lower the corporate tax rate would bring jobs here. I know you don’t believe it but Ireland just lowered their corporate tax rate and they have a booming economy while the rest of the world is having problems. The corporate tax rate could be lowered right now by the Democrats.

If anything Mr and Mrs Liberal you cronies in Washington and the mainstream media, have lied to you while lining their pockets, while you get to pay more and more of your money in taxes and have gotten you to vote a Socialist as president.
      No thank you very much.

I suppose you have forgotten about President Carter…look what he did to our country! So quick to judge, but you make hardly any sense and obviously have no clue about how our government operates.

I am a Conservative and I never made the claim that "Libs are lazy". I will however make this claim. You and others are quick to place blame on everyone but yourselves and your party. There are many factors that contributed to our current economic status and for you to place blame on one political party demonstrates ignorance. Your question also assumes that all business leaders are conservatives. Isn’t that a bit insulting to those business owners who are not conservative?

BTW Do you know the definition of "depression?"

Yes, wake up. Wake up to who has been running congress since Jan 2007. Nazi Pelozi and her band of commie misfits.

Why won’t Charlie Rangle get H.R. 25 the FairTaX Act to the floor and get it it passed? Because they do not want to lose the power to socially engineer the tax code.
