  • Does anybody care about verbal abuse or hostile work enviroments?

Posted by admin on October 27th, 2011 and filed under livelihood projects | 4 Comments »

I would like to know how many employees in our US workforce, go to work each morning knowing that a VP, supervisor or other employee will be verbally abusive. Yes, I consider anyone that demands you get out of your seat and go find information when you are working on many of their other projects. Or referring to you as their assistant when you are not and they aren’t your report to/boss. Someone who tells you you will never get an exceeds expectation in an employee review because they don’t believe anyone exceeds. You know you exceed because you eat lunch at your desk, stay late and take on more work than any of your peers. Someone who you’ve been working for for over a year tells you you have been doing a certain process wrong and they’ve been correcting it but never telling you. Someone who tells you you don’t answer your phone when you know very well that you are always are your desk and even during bathroom breaks you can see your missed calls via your phone. I’m totally sick of the bullying and abuse we are suffering. You see people in your office taking lessening paying jobs, stressed out and maxed out. It’s not wonder some people loose their minds and go back to a workplace to harm others. Please do not mistake what I just said!!! This is not the way to deal with anything. Violence is not the way to deal with your workplace.
But people can totally loose it, when their life and livelihood is on the line. Let me hear what you have to say and don’t give me the bull about the law. The laws to no protect American workers from this kind of behavior.
After feedback I want to make one thing clear. I DO NOT intend to use violence in this matter.
This job and company is not worth me loosing my soul and faith. So please reread if you misunderstand what I am saying.
Update… I have check legal channels. My company is what is called in main stream as an "Equal Opportunity Abuser!" Now don’t that sound nice. I do want to mention. I notified my 2 supervisors of the problems. When I went to HR I was told if I couldn’t take the stress to find another job.
Now isn’t that special! Any thoughts or comments. I’m open

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) provides protection to employees from a "hostile work environment.". You should look at the EEOC website’s page on harassment, and file a claim against your company if you want them to consider your case and take action on your behalf. http://www.eeoc.gov

Governments across the world are committed to keeping the banking system going?

Even if it means throwing millions of people out of work and slashing social spending so people are left impoverished, by god we’re gonna keep those banks afloat!

Do you agree with this position? To keep banks going at the expense of the livelihoods of the masses?

No. I say if the banks and corporations can’t stand in the economy they have created, let them fall. Prices will be lower to match what consumers can afford and emerging companies will be strong, able to stand on their own without periodic taxpayer-funded bailouts.

Does the US Constitution envision citizens being dependent upon Government for their livelihood?

No, that was not part of the Constitution. It was the liberals and progressives that made that up and stretched the Constitution to the breaking point doing it.

Forefathers didn’t hand out free-bees to professional fatherless baby producers… But somehow these libs seem to think it’s just all fine, right down to that free cell phone, connected to their free laptop via their free wireless satellite high speed internet connection… Into their free housing, heated for free and A/C for free… Stocked with fee food… and off to the ER for free health care.

Gads, the forefathers would roll in their graves if they saw the America of today!
